A 25-year-old man jailed Thursday in Camden is awaiting extradition proceedings on a charge that he killed a 19-year-old man Tuesday night in Allentown.

Winslow Township, New Jersey, police on Thursday morning brought Christian Alberto Diaz-Dejesus to Camden County Jail, a jail employee confirmed. Diaz-Dejesus is being held as a fugitive from justice on a homicide charge out of Lehigh County, the employee said.

Carlos Pascual Richiez, of Allentown, was shot Tuesday night at 10th and Chestnut streets and died soon after at Lehigh Valley hospital in Salisbury Township, authorities said.
