SCRANTON — Police didn’t have much trouble nabbing a man wanted for aggravated assault in Scranton. According to court papers, officers attempted to arrest Justin Thompson, 29, of Scranton, on Sunday at his girlfriend’s apartment on Bryn Mawr Street.  Thompson was wanted on aggravated assault charges from back in September. Prison Sentence for Man Who Attacked Wife After Bad Dream

EYNON — A man from Lackawanna County who beat his wife after a bad dream, is headed to jail. Conrad Rudalavage of Eynon was sentenced Tuesday to six to 12 years behind bars after pleading guilty to aggravated assault in June. Investigators said Rudalavage attacked his wife at their home in January after he woke up after dreaming that she was cheating on him.

Man Accused of Kicking Police Officer, Resisting Arrest in State College

STATE COLLEGE — A man from Monroe County faces charges after allegedly fighting with police officers in Centre County. According to police in State College, two men were fighting in the middle of South Garner Street around 2:15 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived, police said one of the men, John M. ARCHBALD — An 18-year-old father from Lackawanna County is behind bars, charged with allegedly breaking his infant daughter’s arm. Kylie Mlyczk, 18, of Archbald was home alone with his infant daughter when the baby girl suffered a break in her arm. Police say Mlyczk had been drinking and it was 24 hours before the baby saw a doctor. Husband Admits Guilt in Assault on Pregnant Wife

BLOOMSBURG — A husband pleaded guilty Thursday after being accused of brutally attacking his pregnant wife in March of 2016. Adam Kaiser’s wife was eight months pregnant at the time. He was taken into custody for throwing her onto the floor and stomping on her back and allegedly saying he was going to cut the baby out of her at home in Briar Creek Township, near Berwick. Kaiser pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Columbia County.

Two Men Accused of Assault in Schuylkill County

MINERSVILLE — Police in Schuylkill County are searching for two men accused of aggravated assault and robbery. According to police Ryan Artz, 20, and Leon Brown, 22, both from the Minersville area, allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old Schuylkill Haven man. The assault reportedly took place in a wooded area of Minersville. Police say the suspects fled the scene in a silver Buick sedan driven by another man. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to contact Minersville police.

Man Admits to Assault, Threats in Luzerne County

FAIRMOUNT TOWNSHIP — A man who threatened his wife and others with a gun entered a guilty plea Thursday in Luzerne County. Steven Saxe of Fairmont Township was charged with aggravated assault, having a weapon without a license, and reckless endangerment for the incident last year. The same night, Saxe killed his wife’s two dogs. He pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in February in Luzerne County. He is scheduled to be sentenced in May.

Police: Man Attacks Mother, Kills Dog with Baseball Bat

HARVEYS LAKE — A man is charged with beating his mother with a baseball bat and killing the family dog in Luzerne County. Police say Charlie Ide, 34, of Harveys Lake attacked his mother last week, causing serious injuries to her skull, arms, and legs. She’s been released from the hospital. Officers say Ide also beat the dog to death with the bat. Ide is locked up in Luzerne County.

Man and Woman Force Their Way into Apartment in Columbia County

BERWICK — A man is locked up after forcing his way into an apartment then threatening a woman in Columbia County. The victim told police Carel Foster and Denise Carter showed up to her apartment on North Mulberry Street around 3 a.m. on Thursday, demanding money for drugs before beginning to beat her. WILKES-BARRE — Two men are accused of attacking a 74-year-old man in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday morning. Officers tell us Gabriel Nieves, 21, and Colton Roberts, 25, posed as SPCA workers and told the victim they were there to take his cats from his home on Carey Avenue.
