SCRANTON — Folks were already out and about in downtown Scranton on Thanksgiving night to shop local. Runway Luxury Boutique on North Washington Avenue welcomed customers from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday night. Purse Stolen From Cart on Black Friday

MOOSIC — Black Friday is all about scoring deals and steals on holiday gifts. Two men made out with something that wasn’t for sale today in Lackawanna County. Police in Moosic say a woman was shopping at the K-Mart on Birney Avenue, when two men took her purse out of her cart. Authorities confirm one man is in custody. They are still searching for the other suspect here in moosic.

Shoppers Pack Parking Lots in Luzerne County

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP — Parking lots were packed with people looking for deals at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Luzerne County. The mall in Wilkes-Barre Township was jammed around noon on Friday. With just a few hours left to score those doorbuster deals, bargain hunters were buzzing about carrying bundles of boxes and bags. The mall opened at 6 a.m. Friday morning, and will stay open through 10 p.m. Friday in Luzerne County.
