New Year, New Tradition

Pet Expo Held in Scranton

SCRANTON — All sorts of animals came indoors for a pet expo. Dogs, cats, pigs, and ducks all joined in the Winter Pet Expo at The Marketplace at Steamtown on Sunday. Crash on North Scranton Expressway

SCRANTON — Police in part of Lackawanna County were on the scene of a crash on the North Scranton Expressway near Clarks Summit. The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday. The car had to be towed from the scene. There is no word what caused the crash in Lackawanna County.

Man Locked Up After Robberies in Scranton

SCRANTON — A man is locked up after a robbery in Scranton. Police arrested Daniel Moraski, 33, shortly after the robbery at the Food Express on Wyoming Avenue Tuesday afternoon. The clerk told police Moraski made it seem like he had a weapon during the holdup. He got away with about $100. Scranton police believe Moraski is the same man who robbed the store on Sunday. Attempting to Avoid Arrest, Man Falls Through Kitchen Ceiling

SCRANTON — Police didn’t have much trouble nabbing a man wanted for aggravated assault in Scranton. According to court papers, officers attempted to arrest Justin Thompson, 29, of Scranton, on Sunday at his girlfriend’s apartment on Bryn Mawr Street.  Thompson was wanted on aggravated assault charges from back in September.
